State Timber Museum
Stephen Carrick Architects were engaged to work alongside Suzanne Hunt Architects, Creative Spaces, Clinton Long Project Management and Plan E for the conservation and refurbishment of the Manjimup Timber Museum for the Shire of Manjimup.
SCA were excited to assist with the retention and revitalisation of the 1970s Museum building designed by architect Marshall Clifton. We were asked to produce a Heritage Statement Impact document as a key element of the Manjimup Town Centre Revitalisation Project and to assess the impact on the cultural heritage values of the place. It includes the conservation of the State Timber Museum building, landscaping works and the development of new interpretive displays.
The project was completed mid-2018.
